Facilitations and Workshops

  • InCredAble Leadership Conference 2015 Facilitation Guide
  •  InCredAble Leadership Conference 2016 Facilitation Guide
    • This guide is what the facilitators and volunteers for the Godwin Middle School Leadership Conference received during their training. It details the entire breakdown of the day with instructions for activities, dialogue questions, a schedule, and details for each particular moment of the day. I developed this guide to ensure the day went smoothly and that each person would know where they should be at all times. The activities detailed in this guide were developed by a committee of dedicated students led by myself and fellow Leadership Consultants, Laura Freeman, and Sreehima Gadamsetty.
  • Through My Eyes
    • This is one of the activities that was used for the Godwin Middle School Leadership Conference. After many conversations, the conference committee came up with the idea to use sunglasses to talk about self perception. I created this worksheet to go along with the activity. Students received the worksheet and were asked to either write, draw, or design something in the left eye about the way they perceive themselves. It could be a list, it could be only one thing-it was up to the participants. They then were charged to write, draw, or design something in the left eye that demonstrated how they believe others perceive them. They were then asked a series of debrief questions about the activity in order to reflect on what they had come up with.
    • Some of the debrief questions included:
      • Why do you think there are differences between how you see yourself and how others see you?
      • Are there any ways that you can try to get people to see your true self?
      • What do you think stops you from always showing your true self?
      • How does understanding how others perceive you relate to being a leader?
      • How does understanding how you perceive yourself relate to being a leader?
  • Emerging Leaders-Sim U
    • This is a simulation that I originally developed with a fellow teammate for the 2015 Emerging Leaders Cohort at George Mason University. It is meant to help students understand the way decisions are made about difficult situations, particularly in the university setting. Each student is provided with a role in the university and must use their knowledge of both the role and the situation in order to assist in solving the problem. The scenario and all of the role descriptions are included in this document.

Presentations

  • UL Symposium 2015 Presentation
    • In January 2015, I presented with my supervisor, Lisa Snyder, and the University Life Symposium-a professional development opportunity for all University Life employees at George Mason University. Lisa and I presented on the development of the digital portfolio project and provided suggestions for any advisor who may be interested in providing this opportunity for their students.
